Call for Sponsors

We are inviting sponsorship from industries, businesses, and government agencies. Various levels of sponsorship are possible. Based on the sponsorship level, the sponsor will have access to opportunities for advertising and/or displaying their products, making presentations and a number of free registrations to the Summit. We are open to other suggestions from sponsors as well.

You are invited to be part of this exciting event and actively contribute to the success of the Summit for the people of African Descent. Your support is very important to the Summit.

“Recognition, Justice and Development”

  •  July 17-20, 2024, at Toronto Pavilion, 190 Railside Road, North York M3A 1A3 Toronto- Ontario

Objectives and/or purpose:

Objective 1: Raise Awareness and Reflect on Progress:

  • To provide a platform for a critical examination of the progress made during the UN International Decade for People of African Descent, with a focus on justice, recognition, and development.
  • To facilitate discussions and reflections on how the UN declaration has impacted the lives of people of African Descent, and whether it has led to tangible positive changes.

Objective 2: Promote Inclusivity and Dialogue:

  • To foster a sense of inclusion and belonging among attendees by encouraging open and constructive dialogue about the challenges and opportunities faced by people of African Descent in Canada.
  • To create a space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can engage in meaningful conversations, exchange ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and social justice.

Objective 3: Showcase African Art and Culture:

  • To celebrate and promote African art, music, and culture in Canada through exhibitions and performances that highlight the richness of African Canadian artists.
  • To use artistic expressions including music as a means of conveying social justice messages and facilitating a deeper understanding of the African Canadian community’s heritage and contributions.

Objective 4: Advocate for Concrete Measures to address racism and discrimination.

  • To encourage attendees to collectively advocate for concrete measures that address discrimination and racism through the promotion of diversity, equity, and dignity, and fostering social impact.
  • To empower participants to become agents of change and take action to support the rights and well-being of people of African Descent in Canada and globally.

Objective 5. Recognize Outstanding Achievements:

    • To establish and host The African Descent Music Art and Culture Awards, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the exceptional accomplishments of Afro-Canadians and individuals of African descent who have effectively harnessed their art, culture, and talent to foster collaboration, facilitate learning, and promote social justice and social impact.
    • To use the awards as a means of honoring those who have made a significant difference in the community, while also inspiring others to contribute to the betterment of society through their artistic and cultural expressions.

Sponsorship Options

We have three sponsorship levels, and we would be happy to work with you on what works best:

Bronze sponsorship: Sponsors at the $2500 and above

  • The sponsor would be recognized as a “bronze sponsor.”
  • Company Logo will be displayed on the Summit website, during organizer presentations, and in printed material given to attendees.
  • One complimentary admission ticket to the Summit.

Silver sponsorship: Sponsors at the $5000 or higher

  • The sponsor would be recognized as a “silver sponsor.”
  • Company Logo will be displayed on the Summit website, during organizer presentations, and in printed material given to attendees.
  • In addition, silver sponsors also get space to display promotional material in Exhibition area and interact with attendees.
  • Two complimentary admission tickets to the Summit.

Gold sponsorship: Sponsors at the $10000 or higher

  • The sponsor would be recognized as a “gold sponsor.”
  • Company Logo will be displayed on the Summit website, during organizer presentations, and in printed material given to attendees.
  • In addition, gold sponsors also get space to display promotional material in Exhibition area and interact with attendees.
  • Company representatives will be able to give a presentation on some of the new technologies and products developed by the company in our industry session.
  • Three complimentary admission tickets to the Summit.

 

For all sponsorship levels, the sponsors’ logos will be prominently displayed at all Summit events, on the African Descent website, as well as in any Summit materials. All sponsorships include one or more complimentary registrations for sponsor representatives, depending on the level of sponsorship.

We welcome other types of support and are open to negotiation on specific terms.
